Because of his recklessness and foolish behavior, Johnny has an accident while riding his bicycle. His brother finds there are several reasons for Johnny's accident and helps him to overcome his attitude and improve his bike riding habits.
While mild compared to other Sid Davis films, we still can see the Sid Davis trademarks: voice-over narration, kids in peril and great illustrations.

Decent effort
Probably did a decent job at the time.
As other reviewer notes, it's mainly worth seeing to see 1950s cars, fashions, etc.

Fifties bike safety short
Bicycle safety short subject about Jimmy the jerk who clowns around on his bike. Worth watching for the fifties fashions, automobiles, and the cool Schwinn bike shop. You just know that obnoxious Jimmy is going to get nailed by a car, and he does. He lives, and his brother the enabler will take care of him, and everybody will live happily ever after.

Vagrants beware
When Jimmy gets hurt after running into a car on a bike, his brother seeks answers about why Jimmy acted like this and starts interrogating every person that knew Jimmy about his bike habits, from his school teachers to the guy who runs the bike store. It¡¯s interesting though, that he doesn¡¯t go to the first place you would think of, and that¡¯s his home and their parents. Actually, they aren¡¯t mentioned at all during this piece, which made me think that they were a bunch of no good street punks in the hard hitting town of Gledonra, California.
PS, no clowns to speak of here. Which is too bad. When I heard this title, I was expecting a mix of the Bike Monkey film One Got Fat with If Mirrors Could Speak : Self-Image Film with the clowns and the mirror and what have you. Guess not.

This Is My Class Report on Jimmy, My Doofus Younger Brother
A boy poorly narrates the story of his younger brother Jimmy, a kid who clowns around on his bike in order to impress his peers and thinks safety rules are for sissies. Since this is a Sid Davis film, he is punished for this by getting into an accident which results in him getting gauze wrapped around his head, his arm in a sling, and being confined to a hospital bed. JimmyÃÂs brother becomes obsessed with finding out why this happened, even though itÃÂs obvious from the beginning that Jimmy is an idiotic daredevil. This is one of the tamer Sid Davis films, though.
